Dear Buick
RE: OFFER OF WATERMARK LEVEL 1 CERTIFCATION SERVICES
I have great pleasure in offering you a formal proposal from IAPMO R&T Oceana for the provision of
WaterMark certification services for the range of that you are seeking to have certified under the WaterMark Certification Scheme here in Australia.
The following are the IAPMO R&T Oceana fees for WaterMark Level 1 certification to the applicable
Australian Standard AS/NZS 3718 – “Water Supply - Tapware”

Application Fee includes the following:

· Review of application submission and supporting product documentation from the applicant
· Allocation of experienced project manager
· Technical support throughout the certification process
· Up to one day inspection visit of manufacturing site and preparation of report
· Accommodation, travel, meals and incidental expenses associated with the manufacturing
site visit (one day)
· Preparation of Type Test Schedule for laboratory
· Review of initial test reports
· Issue of WaterMark licence and certificate
Annual WaterMark Certification Fee: AUD$4,620.00
Annual WaterMark Fee includes the following:
· Ongoing administration of certification; and maintenance of product data base
· Technical support and access to experienced project manager

The above fees do not include the cost of laboratory testing. These costs will need to be negotiated with the laboratory. Testing costs very much depend on the different tap models that the manufacturer wishes to have certified. Once an application form is lodged together with detailed “exploded view” drawings and build of materials of each tap model, IAPMO Oceana will prepare a Laboratory Type Test Schedule identifying which models are required to be tested and to which AS/NZS3718 Clauses they are to be tested to. This is a complex process and normally takes several hours to complete. Once this has been done, you will be able to forward it to as many testing labs as you wish to obtain an accurate testing cost.
IAPMO R&T Oceana is JAS-ANZ accredited to issue WaterMark licences under the WaterMark Certification Scheme, which is mandatory for plumbing products as listed in AS5200.000- “Procedures for certification of plumbing and drainage products” and is called up in the “Plumbing Code of Australia”.
It should be noted that the WaterMark certification fees cover as many products manufactured to the same Australian Standard / Australian Technical Specification at the one manufacturing site.
