WRAS Approval

1 Introduction
Water regulations Advisory Scheme WRAS (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme) by the British Centre for WRc-nsf water management and water security issued by the certification. Water Research Centre - the UK Water Research Centre, established in July 1927, its predecessor is the WPRB (Water Pollution Research Board) water pollution research. It covers the entire United Kingdom.

WRAS certification from the requirements of materials and accessories products meet the following two regulations: water system in England and Wales (for pipe pieces) Regulations 1999, Scottish Water Regulations 2004, Northern Ireland Water Ordinance 1991.

WRAS certification is an essential gateway to the UK market permit. In other countries, all products in contact with the water companies to provide products to one of acceptance procedures is to see whether there is compliance with the relevant standards for certification, and WRAS approval is the most convincing proof of the lack of WRAS certified products will not be adopted. Those who passed the accreditation of the water equipment, plastic pipes and appliances will be given a unique reference number, and will be awarded a certificate certifying that has passed the appraisal; the number will be included in the tap water equipment and materials catalog (Water Fittings and Materials Directory) inside. The catalog each year in April and in October published.

2 WRAS certification content
1 Materials Testing
In accordance with British Standard BS6920 tests. The tests include: plumbing pipe, faucet, valve components, rubber, plastic and all other water in contact with the material and possible materials for the manufacture of the equipment. Any products tested by the center must comply with British standard BS6920 or BS5750PART to ensure that drinking water taste and color will not change will not lead to the breeding of microorganisms, toxic metals will not be refracted, and will not contain or reflects other unhealthy substances. Materials must pass certification testing, or not in the overall product for mechanical testing.
If the non-metallic material meets BS6920: 2000 (non-metallic products by the impact on water quality to see the applicability of contact with the water people use) the standards, they can be certified by WRAS.
Experimental assessment of the following five aspects of materials on water quality: odor, color and turbidity, metals precipitation, the precipitation of toxic substances, promote microbial growth factors.
Plumbing pipes and taps and other products and materials required to pass a mechanical test, (in the UK WRc-NSF laboratory) experiments in some parts must have the material through the show, or not in the overall product with physical experiments.
Listing companies certified every five years WRC-NSF to carry out audits on the product's materials testing!

2 Product Testing
Product testing is based on product type testing in accordance with British standards. WRc-nsf testing water pipe fittings in order to prove that the products comply with the relevant international standards, these standards are recognized and approved water supply industry.
These products include: faucets and mixers, pipes, sanitary equipment, water meters, flow meters, and buckets, vehicle washing equipment.
Test parts to determine that they do not: damage (including leakage), misuse, improper use of contaminated water.
Sustainable five years for each test.

3 We need to do certification for domestic manufacturers to help, including: the provision of certification standards, the process explained, related costs offer the test sample guide, lab contact, 5-year follow-up for a certificate of service. And experiment on how to apply materials to prepare samples to determine sample size, type, etc..
